Our mission is to fight the stigma of mental illness with hopes of reaching those who suffer from depression, bipolar disorder and other brain illnesses. We want people to know they are not alone.
Established in 2017, Danny’s Dream Foundation is an organization created by one visionary mother who is leading the way in helping those affected by suicide. This mother is Jacqueline M. Shelley, a licensed clinical social worker and suicide survivor. Ms. Shelley is deeply passionate about the cause since her seventeen-year-old son took his own life in December, 2015.
Today, Ms. Shelley is on a mission to help other survivors of suicide and fight the stigma of mental illness that is preventing our young people from seeking the help they need. Her background in mental health has helped her in her advocacy for those suffering from depression, bipolar disorder and other mental illnesses. Through her foundation, she is creating a community and a platform to empower and educate today’s youth on suicide prevention and help other survivors of suicide loss. She is also actively involved in setting up public policies regarding mental health and suicide prevention.
